One of the projects I designed while living in Bulgaria was the oak chair that is called MEX-R in a family of MEX chairs. It has a clean European typology in a simple formality and has affinities with Bulgarian craftsmanship. The dedication of the craftsman contributes to the actual design more than might be appreciated.
The MEX-R chair is a chair, with a clear and clean design, straight legs on an simple frame and with bended backrest and seating. The backrest is connected, with flexing rubber discs allowing the backrest to tilt slightly.
The wood is finished with a water-based polyurethane paint. MEX-R is a chair showing details, not hiding what it stands for: The Beauty of Simplicity
